PTBac contains a blend of facultative bacteria specifically chosen for the petrochemical industries applicable to both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. This product provides a significant boost to biodegradation when combined with PTS to reduce time to reach treatment goals and overall costs of remediation operations. For Bioremediation Applications

PTBac was designed to augment native bacteria to accelerate biological degradation processes and improve proliferation of biodegrading bacteria for soil and groundwater remediation. Bioremediation is often performed in conjunction with mechanical remediation systems such as SVE, DPE, MPE and Air Sparge because those systems help introduce oxygen to support oxidation demands of bacteria. For Insitu applications and older releases, the bacteria require the nutrients provided in PTS to increase the rate of biodegradation resulting in faster cleanup.

In the case of surface spills of oil and refined fuels on land, in rivers or spills in the ocean, PTBac works in conjunction with PTS Advanced works aggressively to help solubilize the pure phase petroleum and long chain hydrocarbons and promotes biodegradation. It is safe to aquatic ecosystems, humans, and other living organisms and is actually ideal for sustainable rejuvenation of soil for reuse in the environment.
